Code Of Conduct

Student Code Of Conduct

Respect is the basic principle by which we operate at Xyna International High School. Students, parents and guardians must conduct communications with Xyna International High School staff and each other in a respectful manner; in return students shall receive respect from all members of the school, both academic and non-academic. This ensures the rights of all students to study and learn in a confirmatory environment. Xyna International High School is a place of learning and as such, there must be an atmosphere based on mutual respect, concern and a desire to get the best education possible. Students are expected to be courteous and to respect the personal rights and feelings of others.

Insults, disrespect, and other hurtful acts disrupt learning and teaching in a school community. Members of the school community have a responsibility to maintain an environment where conflict and difference can be addressed in a manner characterized by respect and civility. (Ministry of Education [MOE], 2001, p. 3)

Xyna International High School is committed to the protection and well-being of all students and staff. As part of this commitment, our school has a zero tolerance policy on harassment, intimidation, threatening behaviours (verbal or otherwise) and/or conduct injurious to the moral tone of the school. Profanity, harassment or aggressive behaviours are not acceptable and may result in student suspension or expulsion. The Xyna International High School Code of Conduct helps students fully develop as responsible contributing members to their online learning environment.
